‘Tis the holiday season!

No matter how you celebrate this holiday season, in all languages, denominations and various affiliations, this time of year is best celebrated and spent with close family and friends. And when you’re travelling and are half way across the world, this concept has never been truer.

Last weekend, I spent Shabbat in Connecticut with very close family friends and since Sunday, I’ve been in Wisconsin spending time with my uncle and auntie and my newest baby cousin who is just 7 weeks old!

Tuesday night marked the first night of Channukah and it was so special to be able to celebrate the holiday with family.

Whether you know me well or you just know me through this blog – you’ll ALL know that I have been waiting and waiting to see some snow! Well, this morning I woke up to a beautiful scene – a white and truly picture-esque snow aftermath! Though I happened to (unfortunately!) be asleep when the actual snowfall occurred (I know – I am so annoyed!), I was able to enjoy the snow and it’s beauty as I ventured outside with the dogs, my uncle and auntie and the baby. I’ve never seen snow, EVER, so it was a nice way to start the weekend and the holiday season! I will upload pictures shortly – I’m currently sitting in Minneapolis airport, waiting to board by flight back to New York!

To those of you who celebrate Channukah,

Chag Channukah Sameach  –  חנוכה שמח

To those of you who celebrate Christmas,

Merry Christmas and a lovely holiday season

Wherever you are in the world this holiday season, and however you may choose to celebrate it, be kind to one another and recognize how important your friendships and families are in your lives.
